About the Society

The Denver Classical Guitar Society is a non-profit organization of people who are passionate about the classical guitar. The Society promotes the classical guitar in the Denver, Colorado, area by:

• Sponsoring an annual concert series of top classical guitarists,
• Holding monthly meetings at which members of all levels can share their talents, to develop their performance skills, hone their technique, and share the music they enjoy with others, and
• Sponsoring special events, such as competitions and workshops, to support up-and-coming students who seek to achieve their fullest musical potential with the classical guitar.

In addition, we sponsor local university student recital receptions, co-sponsor local performing artist concerts, participate in fund-raising efforts, as well as contribute monetary gifts to classical guitar related scholarship funds as opportunities arise.
