The Denver Classical Guitar Society meets on the third Tuesday of each month, at 7:00 pm, at the South Broadway Christian Church in Denver. You are welcome to bring your guitar and play a piece or two for the group; or you're welcome to simply come and enjoy the music and fellowship.
The South Broadway Christian Church is at 23 Lincoln Street (at Ellsworth), just south of downtown (map).
Flutist, Lisa Schroeder and guitarist Michael Anthony Nigro, join their musical talents in a program that will reach a non-classical audience, inspire the classical listener, and to touch just one life with a "noteworthy" performance. Their program will feature flute and guitar duos from prominent and less-known Latin American composers that range from folkloric dances to sophisticated impressionism. There program will feature compositions by Astor Piazzolla, Maximo Diego Pujol, Jose Luis Merlin, Ernesto Cordero, and many others.
Flutist, Lisa Schroeder and guitarist, Michael Anthony Nigro joined their musical talents to form Noteworthy Duo in April 2008. In just over 1 year they have released a CD, “Between Flute and Guitar,” and by the end of this year, performed in 21 states.

Join Colorado Christian University's School of Music as affiliate professor of music, Daniel Gorklo, performs on classical guitar. Professor Gorklo will be performing a recital of music from around the world including works by composers from Spain, England, Germany, Paraguay, and Venezuela. Also featured will be Gorklo's original compositions from right here in Colorado. Don't miss a wonderful night of classical guitar music.
